YVORN
Built Through Adversity

This Isn't
A Highlight Reel

It's the record of what it took to get back up — vertebra by vertebra, step by step, mile by mile.

The Kyvorn mark: a K built from a fused spine with surgical hardware

“I didn't know if I'd walk without help again. I didn't decide to become an athlete out of that moment — I decided to take the next step. Then the one after it.”

The Timeline

From T-12 To Ultramarathon

  1. 1

    The Break

    T-12

A fall fractured the T-12 vertebra in my lower spine. One moment upright, the next flat on the ground with no idea what my legs would do next.

  2. 2

    Week One

    Paralyzed

For about a week, my legs didn't respond. Not weak — gone. No timeline from anyone on whether that would change, or when.

  3. 3

    The Rebuild

    Learning to Walk, Again

Movement came back, but not the way it left. Standing had to be relearned. Then a single step. Then a hallway. Physical therapy became the whole job for months.

  4. 4

    Finish Line One

    Sprint Triathlon

Swim, bike, run — in that order, on the same day I once wasn't sure I'd walk unassisted again. Not fast. Finished.

  5. 5

    Finish Line Two

    Marathon

26.2 miles. The body that had to relearn how to stand carried itself the full distance, on its own terms.

  6. 6

    Finish Line Three

    Ultramarathon

Past the marathon distance, into the territory where most people stop asking ‘can I’ and start asking ‘how far.’ That’s where Kyvorn starts.

Built Through Adversity.
Worn The Same Way.

Every piece carries the same mark. None of it sells a miracle — just the work.
